Sterling Silver Locket with Copper Heart & Brass Hex Nut with Chunky Wheat Chain

This unique handmade locket started out as sterling silver sheet metal. Each piece was carefully cut, with a delicate shell pattern applied to the outside. Copper sheet was patterned with a flowery motif and riveted to the inside of the locket. The heart was hand-carved from a copper rod, & the hex nut was hand-carved from a brass rod. A sturdy 4mm wheat chain was added to match the intricate nature of this piece. The whole piece was given a patina and polish to finish the look.

It was designed to hang open, displaying the locket, but can be closed, as seen in the 4th picture. It hangs from an 18-inch 4mm sterling silver wheat chain. The locket measures 2 1/8 inches wide when open, 1 1/4 inches tall, and almost 3/8 of an inch thick when open. When closed, it measures almost 3/4 of an inch.
